The male’s words made the hackles on his back rise with fury. For an instant he nearly charged forward, ready to tear him apart but higher reasoning kept him still. Slowly he let the raised fur on his back settle into place and continued to keep his regal composure as he watched the male. The man's challenge was an empty, hollow thing which he wouldn't honor regardless of whether or not the male won. The man was a beggar zealot who had gotten too absorbed in his own ravings.
“I don’t need to fight some raving lunatic or his miserable god .” Tyranis said resolutely. “If you want it so bad come and take it from me.” He said and turned his back on the male. He made a point of lifting his leg and marking one of the scattered stones of the shrine while the stranger could still see him before he skulked away unbothered.
