A Siren Song

The day was dreary indeed, and it left Czernobog wishing he'd left the area sooner. There was no shelter from rain in the desert, only sand and a general feeling of discomfort brought about by virtually every part of the land. His belly was full from his previous meal and he wouldn't need to hunt for a while now, so he spent his time as soon as the drops had begun to fall making his way back towards lands with more tree cover.

It was chance that he stumbled on the brown jewelry-clad woman, but she was at first ignored when droplets hitting his eyes caused him to continue his forward march in search of sanctuary from the elements.
