A Siren Song

Quite focused on his destination, the vague idea of 'anywhere but here', Czernobog found himself startled by the woman's call despite already knowing she was there. It was enough to cause him to pause for a moment and look her way. He was only moderately curious about whoever this was, in part because he was not a curious man but also because the steady beating of the rain falling from the heavens was soaking him through entirely and the weather just screamed dangerous.

"Yes?" he called back, not moving but allowing her to approach if that was what she wanted, still inwardly wishing to be out of the weather but not frightened to the point where he would take off suddenly. The claps of thunder that rolled over the dunes to meet their ears were loud enough to make some jump though he stood stoically with his attention on the sopping wet woman.
