A Siren Song
The heavy rains have carved a miniature canyon in the path. Doubtless the soil was made soft by the gentle rainfall the previous week and so was no match for the sudden deluge. The rut is about the same width as a pad and as deep as the ankle bone. The bronze babe skips from side to side, not thrilled to the weather that presented itself. Rain kept falling in crazy chaotic drops as the others words reached her graceful ears, the gusting wind carrying them in wild vortices one moment and in diagonal sheets the next. It runs down her face as a thin layer drip upon her button lips the moment she parted them, I shall. she hurried her speech as they departed towards a safe location, towards a shelter from the chaotic weather they were graced with. Following the man was not a easy task as she decided to keep a certain distance and yet her vision blurred from time to time and she had to keep using her elongated tail in order to wipe the water that almost poured down her eyelashes and eyes. She could not see anything but there has to be somewhere around here. That has to be a cave or at least a tree log that they could use to make a shelter.
