The young boy looked up at the large bird that had been following him with a huff. What did she want!? She seemed interested in him… but why? Weirdo bird. Weird bird needed to go away. Maybe he’d ask No Face to chase her off… he didn’t want to be followed by some feathered idiot. One in the family was enough, wasn’t it?

He was heading back towards the den, huffing every time he looked up to see the creature was still there. “Won’t you just give it up already!?” The kid snapped, glaring up at the bird.

The gyrfalcon was sitting on a branch, watching the youth with an amused look in her eyes.

“Such spirit…” The bird mused to herself, not letting the kid in on the fact that she had been watching him for longer than he realized.

Evangelos stomped his foot.

“Go. Away.”

But still the bird didn’t move…

...no, she seemed quite content to stay.
