She took a moment to notice the rabbit, as through completely lost in the worlds of her thoughts. He could understand what that was like, and was patient as he waited for her to sniff the carcass, and then look up at him. Her sad expression morphed into a soft smile, nothing full blown, or extravagant, but it was enough. He offered her one of his own, the muscles of his muzzle seemed strange, disused to such an action, and the expression might have looked a little odd on his face. The young boy didn’t smile anymore, not often at least. She spoke, and her voice was gentle, sweet. Of course, her question also required an answer, and he shuffled uncomfortably. It had been a while since he had spoken last, and his voice was badly disused. “Sure” the word was rough, and very quiet, and he shuffled closer to her, crouching down before her to take a small bite from the rabbits flesh, before pushing the carcass back towards her, offering her a bite. |
