In The Now

She was surprised and pleased when her father let loose a bellow of surprise. She had snuck up on him! He kicked out swiftly, and she earned a nice knock on the side of her head, though she managed to turn from most of the blow. The young wolf crouched down on her front paws, her back legs up in the air as her father turned to her and exclaimed her name.

”I’m as quick as a snake!” she said proudly, still chuffed at having got her father unawares. The skimming blow to her head she had already shaken off, and there was no hard feelings about it. She would just have to remember his reaction speed next time, it would have to be a quick swipe and a run to avoid a blow. She grinned mischievously. “What are we doing today?’ she wanted to know, tail wagging as she looked up at her father. She wanted to enjoy some time with him, she knew his alpha duties kept him busy, and revelled in any time he could spare for her.
