Her mother wasn't too far from here, hunting. Lucine had decided against hunting today, still in her crappy funk since departing from her brother. She wasn't sure what her father was up to, he had been making small trips since they had returned. Luci couldn't get over loosing her best friend, she had only ever been around her brother and even when they were with their father's family Luci hadn't really bonded with anyone, but her brother had and chose to branch out on his own. She didn't really know what to do to help herself feel better. This was really her first time alone and she was moping.
Sitting at the base of one of the trees she took her paw and gently swiped it around in the snow, sighing heavily as she did so. She quickly grew bored and decided that she would explore some. As long as she returned there should be no harm in exploring while her mother hunted. So pulling to her feet the yearling took off at a brisk trot, baby blue eyes looking around as she moved. Taking in the scenery and trying to memorize what she saw. Also with her desire to be a skilled hunter she instinctively looked for prey sign. Scents and trails with tracks, even looking for creatures within the trees.
This territory was totally different from where she was born. Everything was brand new and maybe, just maybe she would discover something totally new.
