Ashmedai vs Dragon
Word had reached the once king about a grand tournament to welcome the start of the new year. He had prepared for the event, and together with Iskra, had fashioned something incredible before the start of the tournament. He wore it with pride, head held high and his tail waving like a banner over his back as he walked through the crowd, each companion on either side of him. Some of his family had come to spectate the events, and he knew Greed was one of the participants. He wished his longtime friend good luck before parting ways, and eventually, Dragon stopped to listen to the head honcho as he spoke about what was to come. When all was said and done, his companions stepped forward and guided him through the crowd to where Nitro and his opponent were. Though he couldn't see the boundary of the ring they were to fight in, his companions would make sure he didn't step out of bounds.
He wasn't yet sure who his opponent was, but he would soon enough. "He wears a spiked harness," Shiva purred with cautious amusement. Dragon's ears leaned forward at her words, making a mental note to be careful about that. It seemed Dragon hadn't been the only one to prepare for the event at hand. He turned his shielded face towards his opponent's voice, recognizing it in an instant. Ohohoho, he would be fighting against Ashmedai, eh? This would certainly be fun! He chuckled, "Fine by me, you'd have a hard time getting at mine, anyway. Alright pretty boy, let's rumble!" He would honor Ash's wishes and instead, he'd attempt to scar Ash's chest in return.
His defensive stance came easily enough. Legs spread hip and shoulder width apart, hackles bristled along his spine while his ears pinned. Tail flagged out behind him for balance and his toes spread over the sand while claws gripped it for traction. He lowered his shielded head over his throat, aligning with his spine and protecting his neck to make it harder for Ash to get at him there. He rolled his shoulders forward to protect the sides of his neck, using them to act as a shield. He didn't need to narrow his eyes anymore. He was blind, and the new armor he wore completely covered his eyes and face. Eyes were overrated anyway, who needed them anymore? Not him, that was for sure! He heard the soft footfalls of Shiva's steps as she broke away from him and Kimahri, the jaguaress beginning to circle the ring in a clockwise manner. Meanwhile, Kimahri stood at the ready near his left side.
"Leggo!" In unison, both Dragon and Kimahri ran forward to meet Ashmedai, the pair seeking to close the distance between them and their opponent. As Dragon neared the last couple of feet, he darted to his own right as he sought to slip towards Ash's left side. A growl erupted from him as his left shoulder jutted forward, the earthen warrior seeking to thrust it into the point of Ash's left shoulder and hopefully jar the appendage and bruise him. Simultaneously, his crown tilted in towards the left side of Ash's neck, teeth glinting in the sun as he tried to dig his fangs into the top left side of Ash's neck with his upper fangs aiming for the scruff and bottom fangs aiming to pierce his neck. He wanted to try to bite, grip, and hold his opponent in an effort to limit his movement.
While he was trying to do that, Kimahri ran head on at the larger wolf, leaping forward and slashing with his claws at Ash's chest to intercept their opponents attack. He would seek to cut an X into the man's chest, hopefully distracting him enough for Dragon and Shiva to do their work.
