Aurelia vs Artur

He succeeded in lifting the little run off her paws and shaking her, but he hadn't figured on that apparently waking up some actual life from the pup, who immediately squalled and started striking out with all for limbs, pummeling his chest and throat and muzzle with little smacks and scratches that, by themselves, probably wouldn't have done much, but all together was an overwhelming flurry of tiny puppy. When her little teeth sank into the side of his face - luckily not the side with the still-tender lacerations from that cougar - Artur let out a yelp of his own between clenched teeth, much to his utter mortification. Closing his eyes against the sharp pain, he sought to grind down harder on her scruff and despite the burning of neck muscles that really weren't ready to handle that much weight he attempted to shake her even more vigorously in the hopes that she'd let go. He found himself instinctively backpedaling away from her kicking paws as well, though since he had been holding her that certainly didn't do any good because the flailing paws would just come along with him.
