Anywhere But Here

The day was quiet and Gavroche enjoyed that fact. He had found solace in making a home here… on the opposite side of the lake where it seemed a family of wolves already stayed. From what he had seen at least three of them bore manes… just like certain members of his own kin. It made him feel comfortable being around other mutated creatures… even if manes were one of the more ‘acceptable’ mutations in his homeland. The winged boy was out near the water today resting in the sunlight, the warm rays lulling him into a sense of security and comfort.
Gavroche had been working as hard as he could on his studies too. In fact… he was even treating a patient. He knew his methods were the more basic ones… ones that might take longer to heal the male and might not be as effective… but Gav hoped that he would be able to speak, at least somewhat, when the winged boy was done with the treatment.
An ear twitched at the sound of pawsteps and Gavroche shifted a little, green eyes blinking open slowly. “Hnn?” He asked as gaze fell on Acere.
