It had been a day or two since Lydia had brought the unique looking pup to the pack. Branch had welcomed him into the pack with open arms and was more then happy to ensure Erystotle survived and thrived. That was the whole purpose of the pack and he was fully ready to take on more wolves when it was needed. Branch had made sure to hunt on his patrols catching food for the young male and for Lydia who had been worn out from her travels. He had let both of them properly rest to recover from his ordeal and for Lydia to rest from her travels.
Today though he felt it would be fair enough for him to be a bit of a pest, to personally learn more about the unique wolf pup. Branch had met uniquely colored wolves before, but this young wolf had horn nubs, something he recognized from observing young deer. He had never seen that within a wolf before. He had thought Legion's leader's saber fangs were unique enough, but here was a whole different kind of unique.
He was a little quicker with his rounds in the early morning, leaving him time to do a more proper hunt where he was able to successfully take a fawn from it's mother. It was a bigger meal for the growing boy. He carried the fawn back to the den areas and headed straight for the den Erystotle was staying in. He stopped a few feet away before placing the fawn on the ground.
"Erystotle? Are you awake? I brought you breakfast," he gently called, not wanting to scare him.
