Erys was recovering physically, he no longer shook when he tried to stand. He was fully hydrated and his sleep had returned from normal. He ate and slept as much as he wanted and the boy should have been content. However, he was lonely. He felt the missing presence of his brothers keenly, and though he wasn’t quite up to really playing yet he wished one of them would come initiate. They never would though.
He had a vague understanding that they were no longer in the living world, but he couldn’t say how they’d left. He didn’t miss his father, he’d never even really seen him. The man had kept his distance, knowing the fate of his spawn. Erystotle missed his mom, though she had been just as cold towards him at least she had managed to save him from his fate.
Now all he knew was being alone, his heart hurt and the way he lay listlessly was testament to that.
He did manage to perk and look a bit more lively when he heard his name from outside. The boy struggled to his paws and slipped from the den he had been given. His bright liquid silver eyes peered up at Kesali’s alpha. He approached the fawn catiously as he debated if he was hungry or not. The pup hadn’t eaten since mid-day yesterday.
”T’anks.” He croaked, still unused to using his voice.
