Way Down We Go

He was far from happy at the moment. Displeasure practically radiated off of him as he sulked at the waters edge, eyes focused on the trail the buck had taken. Even when his companion had alerted him to the approach of another, he didn't bother moving until the feminine voice reached him with a single, simple word. Ears twitched and he turned to look at her then, noticing that she seemed familiar. A quick sniff told him she was in his pack, but he had never really talked to her before now. He'd seen her around on more than one occasiona, even heard about her from his brother. But never had he bothered to interact with her. Not because of the rumors, but because it was just how he was. He was a socially awkward creature sometimes, and didn't actively seek out companionship or conversation with anyone that wasn't family.

"Hey," He was far less formal than the exotic babe before him, but he didn't particularly care at the moment. His gaze then fell to the ground at her feet, noticing that she had managed to catch herself a rabbit. Well...at least she had better luck than he did. He scowled a bit for a moment but it quickly faded away. He couldn't be mad at her because she had managed to catch something and he didn't, that would be childish. Instead, he returned his attention to her molten gaze. "I see we're from the same pack, but I'm afraid I'm not entirely sure who you are." Well...he did...sort of. But he wasn't about to tell her what he'd heard.
