Poem returned her mother’s affection as she let her go back to the important issue at hand. The girl looked from her brother to the boy as they spouted off different stories. If she had been asked, and Poem was glad she hadn’t been. She didn’t want to be a tattle-tale. Poem would have said that Noir’s story was closer to the truth, but that neither of them had been nice when they talked to one another.
She was saved though, and Winter gave her mother all the information she needed. Poem smiled at Winter brightly, she couldn’t wait to have her own raven who would be her partner in making big decisions like this. Not that disciplining two rowdy boys was big news but…
Poem’s jaw fell a little as Shaye gave out punishments, and then Noir gave an apology. It was probably the worst apology Poem had ever heard, but she didn’t doubt it would be the only one she ever heard Noir say. She stifled a giggle as she basked in the moment.
