The wolf shot to her feet in response to Riva’s greeting, and she could see the way she swayed on unsteady footing. The pain in this girls eyes. Yes, something was definitely terribly wrong here. Riva stayed completely still, keeping her expression somewhat neutral as she tried to convey the message that she was not a threat. Eventually, the stranger seemed to come back to herself. Her ears rose, her fur settled, and some of the fright left her startling gold eyes. “It’s alright, I’m Riva by the way” she introduced herself with an inviting smile, hoping the other might also venture forth a name. Yeah, jumpy was an understatement, but Riva wasn’t about to mention it. She wouldn’t push the woman, she could see something terrible had happened. “Actually, I’m a healer, I always give my services free of charge, if you want me to take a look at you?” she offered, her voice still gentle, soft, nonthreatning. |
