Poem Destruction

Poem managed to get a chuckle from her aunt as she shrugged off the answer, Eulogy was amused and told her she needn't even worry about Rhyme knowing where she was if she returned by morning. It wasn’t her dad she was worried about finding her though, it was her mom. Rhyme didn’t often share the den with Shaye, Epitaph, and her sister. He didn’t like to sleep under a roof, and occasionally he allowed her to snuggle up with him while he slept under the stars.

Poem felt concern and tilted her head curiously as Eulogy muttered her name, she obviously did not hold the same pride in it that Shaye had instilled on her own daughters. "Why do you say it so sad?" Her own voice was lowered a bit, its sweet innocence ringing through. "Are you afraid a master will hear you?" Epitaph had told her and Moo the story of his captivity. She had been young and didn’t realize how horrible the experience really was, but her young mind did comprehend there was much unpleasantness and pain. "You don’t need to be. Mom and Dad keep them faaar away." She tried to comfort her aunt, and moved to give the older woman a nuzzle at her cheek.
