Imitating a wolf, Finn wagged his tail at Gav's response. Ace knew his companions adored Gavroche very much, perhaps more than they liked anyone else. He wondered if it was his size, being that Gav was a little smaller than both of them. But he doubted that was the reason. It was more likely that they liked him because of his chipper and happy-go-lucky attitude. And to be honest, Ace liked that too. The boy had an innocence about him that he could appreciate. An innocence he wished he had when he was a child. Of course, Gav wasn't a child anymore, but he was between that and a full adult. “A pleasure seeing you again too, Acere! All of you, really. It’s nice to see some familiar faces. Besides Houdini’s of course. She’s sleeping in the den.” Ace managed a small chuckle as also offered a smile. Yep. The lad was quite chipper and his personality did well to boost into a fairly good mood.

The young man went on to explain that there were a couple others who reminded him of home. A family of wolves with manes, and he took a good guess at who they might be. Two of them he had met already, and he was sure that was the same family he was talking about. At the mention of his treating a patient with wounds on his throat, he quirked a brow upward in question. He wondered who that was. If it was anyone he knew. He hoped his 'patient' wasn't dangerous...the boy was too innocent. He could be easily harmed if the wrong wolf came along. "We're doing well, thanks. And it seems you've been doing well, too." He thought about the tournament thing for a brief moment before nodding, "Yes, I think I might. It would be interesting to see who shows up, and to test ourselves. Even if we don't win, it should be a good experience."
