She knew her littermate was only trying to help her in her misery and she leaned into his form as he came back over and wrapped her up. She sighed into him as he offered comforting signs for her benefit. Ballad was afraid, but she didn’t want Rhythm out in the storm for one, and she preferred to see the old healer privately for some of the symptoms she was suffering through.
He held her tightly and she appreciated the comforting affection. Ballad buried her features into the ember kissed fur that covered his neck. He mentioned that she might have just caught sick with the change of the season and she nodded, not fully convinced but giving Lament the benefit of the doubt.
”Hopefully you’re right.” She muttered into his pelt. She sighed softly, ”Do you..” She paused, not remembering how many times she had asked this question since they had been found on the battlefield. ”Do you think our memories will return, Lament?”
