He spat blood and fur again as he looked at the miserable boy. How many more challenges would he have to face before he was at peace? How many more fights? How many more scars. He looked at his father, his phantom tail flicking irritably although no one could see it.
“Keep it.” He said, returning his attention to the boy.
“I’m done with that wretched land, and I am done being a king”
He looked to his siblings then and paced toward them slowly, attempting to press his head between them if they allowed it. They were his true family. The Wreckages who had stayed by his side through thick and thin, now he hoped they would remain by his side as he pursued a new life, not as a leader, but as a follower, eager to learn and rise in ranks rather than stand at the top and control all that he couldn’t control.
