Do you feel that I can see your soul?
Seshet wasn't sure there was anything that could really be considered a paradise but the new things she was experiencing definetly helped her to feel that this continent was the closest thing to a paradise. At first there had been the relief of being in the desert again had overwhelmed her, she'd been unsure she'd ever feel at home once she'd left her home continent but the sea of sand had helped to set her at ease. Then she'd been forced to skirt more fertile lands, trees bigger than any she'd ever seen, not gnarled or withered from the heat of the desert sun. But the trees had stunk of many wolves, borders of some claimed territory she guessed, so she'd been forced to gape at them from afar. So when she'd found another forest, the smells of others but not as strong or established as the previous forest. The trees here weren't as big as the one she'd passed but was fascinating to the woman nonetheless. Seshet padded gracefully and quietly through the forest, feeling the way the dappled shade cooled her skin, listening to the gentle rustling of the leaves in the wind. Her mind-expanding as she simply existed in a new place. A scent wafted towards her and Seshet stopped, casting her gaze about. Catching a glint of gold in the sunlight. Another wolf was walking through the trees and Seshet's eyes widened in surprise. She only caught glimpses of him through the trees but what she saw set her stomach a-flutter. Something about him seemed... divine. But the woman dared not speak, almost afraid that if she broke the silence of the day he'd dissipate like a spirit. |
