Do you feel that I can see your soul?

The green of the foliage reflected off Thoth’s pelt as his slender form slipped through the redbud trees. A glint of gold flashed as the sun caressed his divine form, his relaxed posture obvious. His ears leaned contentedly, and long thin tail wagged subtly at his heels. The heat was heavy, and his long tongue shifted at his teeth as he panted away his excess warmth. Despite the weather the mortal god still sought out his chosen herbs, and his dual toned gaze was trained for the sight of them.
He barely perked as the sound of paws in the forest reached him, he thought it likely one of his half siblings. There were a few other wolves that frequented the nook, but they never bothered him. His long stride brought him deeper into the forest, and as he passed by the now unusual sight of pink caught him. At first he thought one of the trees remained in bloom, what he found instead was a desert rose.
Thoth’s mortal body was young, he was only just beginning to appreciate the company of a she wolf. His little experience in this realm was obvious as he found himself frozen before her. His golden painted left leg lifted as he forgot to take his planned step. Gold and silver eyes traveled down her form like one might appreciate a priceless painting. Her vibrant stripes captured the Ithuriel boys eye as he looked over her obvious desert origins.
Words stuck in his throat and manners went out the door as he found himself agape.
