If it wasn't for her love for his alter ego, she wouldn't have followed the nightmare of a wolf to the island. The swim that was required between the main continent and what lay ahead of them wasn't that bad. Secretly, she enjoyed the exercise and the water that challenged her powerful muscles and toned form. It was a nice change from the frequent runs that were required for the chases of her and Drago's dinner. She closed her eyes, took in a deep breath of air, and sank under the water's surface. Her leaf green gaze flashed open and she looked down at the life that carried on as she passed. The curiosity for the underwater critters didn't last long. Her paws found the ground that stretched under the surface and soon she resurfaced.
Maija stepped onto the fresh grass and shook all over. Her fur still clung to her body as she slowly paced towards Rotterdam. His brisk and rough command made her ears flatten against her wet skull. Maija growled at the looming figure before she reluctantly followed him. It had been a few days since she had seen Dragomir and her heart secretly ached. However, she moved this to the back of her mind and began to look around at the new territory. Everything was so new and seemed peaceful, a place that other wolves may consider their home. Her right ear turned in Rotterdam's direction and she gave a brief shrug as she continued to trot along. "Hell if I know. From the way this place holds plant life, there may be prey that eats it." Her nose twitched and she sniffed the air, trying to pick up any scents that would stick out from the vegetarian buffet.
Her attention became focused as she saw Rotterdam halt. She watched him break through the foliage and introduce himself to an unseen figure. Maija's eyes roved to the dark stranger that she could see through the leaves, tail slightly flicking in apprehension to his presence. The gold dame was considering joining her husband, except the hunger that raged in her slender abdomen was overpowering her. Ignoring the consequences that Rotterdam would threaten on her later, she tromped off through the trees in a direction perpendicular to where the two males stood. Silent paws carried her across the unfamiliar terrain, nose to the ground for any known scents. Leaf green gaze, sure and swift, looked in all directions as she began to scout for her lunch.
