Seshet held her breath, feeling as if the whole world was holding one too, waiting for the man before her, who she now so clearly saw as divine a god in mortal flesh took in her name and quietly mulled it over. Thoth pushed into her and Seshet nearly stepped away but managed to stand her ground, suddenly breathing in his scent and her whole body felt alive with electricty. Her nerves live wires. "What do you mean?" She asked, her voice barely above as whisper and brilliant blues wide in wonder and deference. She'd been raised to believe her duty was to the gods when they were found, to provide them pleasure if they wished it but she was a mortal sent to serve only... what was it that Thoth... a man she knew was her lord now, meant. |
