Shine in the Night

His features fell, heartbroken by his smaller brother’s optimism. “No.” He said quietly, turning his head away to sit and contemplate the ground. “I’m sorry Chrys, but…I’ve found a life here, even if I did avenge father, I don’t think I could go back home.” He said, his voice quiet, afraid of how his brother might take the news.

He sighed quietly through his nose and shook his head. “I know it’s a lot to ask of you, but I plan to raise a pack, will you stay here with me, at least until the fighting is over? I imagine I’ll need all the help I can get.” He said, finally forcing himself to look at his brother head on in spite of how unsure he felt.
