Heloise had little experience with weapons outside of her own claws and teeth. this was a fine time to learn. "how about a spear?" it wasn't long enough to be a good spear, but with Tornadic's size, it could be effective enough. he could always add to it with wood later as he grew up. but if he wanted something sharp... she felt a bit uneasy with giving a child a sharp object. moving a bit closer, she'd extend a paw before the tip of the antler. though she didn't touch it.

"spears require a lot of maintenance. even when it's done, you're always going to work on it in some way. add length, fix the broken parts..." she explained what she knew. if Tornadic wanted something quick and easy, he'd be disappointed with a spear. but if he had the drive to work on his item, it would reward him. "you can sharpen the point for now, and see if you want to do more later?" she probably should ask him what he wanted it for, but Heloise naturally assumed the boy wanted to be like his father.

she'd smile kindly at him. "it isn't stupid to try something new, is it?"
