meant for our eyes to see

Zee had spent the better part of two days washing herself in the nearby river, vigorously working to relieve her soft fur from the smell of smoke and the remnants of the fire she'd outrun. Her vanity had taken a harder hit then her body had - she absolutely could not stomach the thought of her introduction to this new land being covered in soot and ash. The female gave a pleased sigh as she finished, stepping daintily from the water to shake the droplets from her now-clean pelt. It had taken more time then she'd wanted, but finally she looked and smelled respectable once more. Ironically - not moments after stepping from the river on her journey east - the sky opened and a torrential downfall began. Just my luck. She thought bitterly, ears pinning against her skull as the rain batted against her. The strong winds whipped up, and Zee couldn't help but hate this new land and it's ridiculous weather. First a fire, now a flood? With an annoyed grunt, the female fled the rising stream. She took to the mountain, pausing at it's base long enough to curse the skies once more. There was no doubt she'd need another bath once she was done scaling the cliffs. Zee would have taken literally any other path, but the water was rising quickly. The navigator knew better then to take her chances with a flash flood. With one last longing glance towards the distant eastern plains, she faced the mountain and began to climb. It didn't take long for the pelting rain to grow too strong for Zee to want to go further. She could barely see through the onslaught as it was, there was no way she was going to continue to climb a mountain in this weather. She continued along beside the mountain where a cliff jutted outwards. It got wider as she walked, and in the near distance she could see what looked to be the mouth of a cave. With a sigh of relief, she picked up as much speed as was safe when walking a mountain ledge. It didn't take long for her to reach the entrance. She barreled into the shelter, oblivious to the fact that it was already taken until she was inside and vigorously shaking the water from her coat. "Speech" "Thinking" "You." |
