Oxide

Ox succeeded in convincing the probably rabid man to drop his catch, though he was quick to leap at the Nightingale boy instead. He had only just turned two years old, and would never admit to still considering himself a boy. It was hard to resist the trope, as he’d been reminded of his age relentlessly by Deimos and Nysa. He was fully an adult now, and he planned to keep the freedom that entailed.
The rusted boy reacted with quick reflexes, he didn’t want a repeat of his encounter with the Wolverine. There was no telling if the girl he saved this time had any experience in healing. Judging by the scars that flecked her tiny form he assumed she knew about as much as he did. If he got seriously injured he’d have to try and find Eris to patch him up.
The mangy wolf had no hope of defeating Oxide. The copper marked boy slammed his heavy shoulder into his opponent’s gut, driving the wind from him and gaining a satisfying yelp as the excess force caused him to lose his balance and go tumbling away. Ox didn’t let up, as soon as the red eyed devil landed his rusted jaws were at his scruff and the silver bodied boy shook with all his might. Blood splattered as he tore flesh. He held his ears to his skull as the stranger cried out in shrill pain.
Rewarded with a disgusting chunk of flesh Oxide tore away from his opponent. The dark brute wanted little more to do with Oxide or what he thought would be an easy ride. With little more convincing the would be rapist raced into the underbrush. Hopefully he died of infection because Ox wasn’t about to high tail it after him.
The oxidised boy spit the piece he’d managed to rip off to the ground as he smoothed his coat and turned back to the timid little she wolf. She’d backed herself against the tree, and Ox couldn’t blame her for that. She was a tiny thing, probably in need of a good few meals. She smelled of the pack he’d noted before. He was drawn to her bright blue eyes, he couldn’t miss the fear in them as he took a step towards her. He couldn’t deny the appeal of the act he’d just punished the erring male for. Still, he also couldn’t bring himself to accept it for himself. Willing seemed so much more appealing.
”You’re alright for now,” He offered quietly, sure he might spook her back to the packlands and safety.
