" N-no.” He said stiffly a beat too late to respond to his initial question, then his expression swiftly changed as he realized a second question had followed the first.  “I mean yes! I mean-“ He floundered gaping like a fish as he faultered, caught completely off guard by the male’s question. “Deer!” He blurted suddenly catching sight of the hind. “Let’s deer the hunt.” He managed to say and then realized an instant too late that he had misspoken. A vibrant flush covered his cheeks under his fur, raising every hair on his face as he looked at Célesin wide eyed and thoroughly embarrassed.
