Fermented Fruit

Instantly the stranger denied having tried the fermented fruit before, which elicited a slow grin from Asvor. "They're edible," she confirmed, nodding slowly. Her gaze lingered for a long moment on Tsarvix, scanning his facial features carefully before redirecting her attention to the groups of fallen fruit that dotted the ground all around them both. "They're not half bad, if you're in the mood for something sweet," she started, letting out a low chuckle. Her snake companion lingered between her ears still, eyeing Tsarvix with visible apprehension, her body tense. Asvor didn't seem to share in the outright hesitation, though occasionally she cast Tsarvix a curious glance. "That one definitely looks... inedible," Asvor agreed as she took a few steps closer and eyed the one beneath his paw. Her attention only lingered on that one for a moment before she found one that looked a little more appetizing, though not by much. "Fermented fruit will never taste all that great, but... the after-effects are what you're looking for, not a delicious treat," she explained, her slightly devious grin returning, widening slightly now. "Asvor," she returned the curt greeting with one of her own, nodding slightly. She was less interested in introductions, and more interested in what she was here for - and what he, too, seemed interested in. "Ones like this -" Asvor gestured to a piece of fruit that was looked much less disgusting, though still looked like it'd spent a long while on the ground. "- are much better. Here, try one," Asvor nosed it toward her, glancing to the side to find one of her own. She only grimaced slightly as she took a bit into the mushy fruit, swallowing it down as quickly as she could, not wanting to leave the taste in her mouth for long. |
