Though Circe was savvy to what she was about to get herself into, she didn't quite know what to expect. This was new territory for her and though she understood the mechanics that wasn't the same as knowing. She had no interest in this male. To be fair, she'd had no interest in any before him either.

She was grappling with this problem when Hannibal took the initiative and spared her the need to playact. It worked for her; she required no encouragement, no kisses to soothe her jitters or excite her. She simply wanted him to give her the tools needed to further her agenda and to placate her family.

His teeth sent chills up her spine and Circe felt a smirk play up the corners of her lips as a barely audible gasp left her before she could stop it. The expression faded and was replaced with stoic determination when she felt his weight upon her back. She had her sights fixed firmly on paradise and nothing, not her faint unease or her lack of love for the father of her future children would keep her from it.
