Hannibal answered that the deed between him and Circe was done and that he hoped to hear that she was pregnant soon enough. "She will be," Archon said, a light smile on his features. "It is the will of God." He knew what Hannibal thought of the whole religion thing, but was it not apparent now? God was everywhere, and Hannibal was already tied by all ends in His web.
Now Hannibal got to being demanding. "Isn't that an agreement between Deathbelle and I? Has she herself not told you of our agreement?" He let out a small sigh. "I could ask you the same of Circe, but that was between the two of you."
Archon let his words sit for a moment. He didn't owe Hannibal anything, especially not information on an agreement having to do with his sister. If she hadn't told her brother of their plans, then maybe she intended to keep it that way.
"Mind you I have no secret motives here, Hannibal. You have known my band intimately and what I am called to do. I expect the same for any of my children. And I expect similarly for any follower of God."
It was that simple. Whatever Hannibal may have been suspecting or implying was a waste of time. Archon's intentions were purely the work of God and he expected Hannibal, out of all Kleins, to be able to see that. He tried to not let the disappointment in his face show.
"Are you meaning to say you bred my sister without knowing full well what our intentions were? What our goals are? Or are you asking only to satisfy a curiosity?" Archon held no disrespect for the man, only wondering why he was just now asking questions and why he was asking about his sister's litter rather than his own.
