He walked away, and she turned to follow. Their path went along the creek and as they walked in silence Zee watched the water ripple. Had he asked her to accompany him for a walk in silence? She assumed there'd be some friendly banter. If he wanted someone to patrol with then he had the other ranked members of Ashen. “What was your life like, before you came here?” His words didn't appear anything more then simply curious, and Zee took several moments to consider her response. Did she tell him the truth? Would he see her dreams and goals as an enemy to the empire? "You'll think it's silly." She said with a smile to hide her shame. A heavy exhale worked itself through from her chest and out her nose, and she continued. "My life was ordinary - too ordinary. With normal parents, a normal pack, a normal den. It was boring, dull, and just not me." Gaze moved to watch him out the corner of her eye, sizing up his response. "I've always dreamed of being more, you know? So I set out on my own to accomplish that." She'd not expand further - he didn't need to know that her version of more was not to take on the role of a slave... though it definitely was less ordinary. "Speech" "Thinking" "You." |
