he wasn't convinced of the sweet words the alpha used. he only hated her more for toying with him like he was an object or item and not a wolf. he was lesser, true, than many people he had met so far. he wasn't brave or strong. he didn't know how to fight. he may not have that, but he was sharp enough to know when something was wrong. he grits his jaws after he was told what he had to do, shooting Sirius a spiteful look as dragged Nimbus away. the dire wolf never mentioned repaying them for their 'kindness'. and if it was indeed kindness, he didn't have to pay them back. this was, at the core, a brutal way to control people. shove them full of false hope and cruelly snatch it away. Nimbus knew he couldn't escape now, but he would try later when he could run again. for now, he was at the mercy of the healer and the soldier. he'd do as he was told, behave fearfully, but he'd bide his time. though even if he was quite submissive, he refused to say 'thank you' to the alpha lady. he refused to play her game. allowing himself to be dragged away now to the healer's den, he rested his head on his forepaws and made it more difficult in passing. the added weight wouldn't trip Sirius, but Nimbus was being petty.
