Armando hauled his spear back, plucked his catch off the tines, and then stood ready and waiting for his next chance to arise. The spear was heavy and it made his joints ache, but he was content to ignore it. There were prizes to be had and he wasn't about to let a little ache slow him down.
An unsuspecting fish swam too close to the rock where he stood and Armando quickly raised the spear over his head and brought it down with all of his might on the water. Its sharp tines broke the surface with nary a sound and its slim design meant it cast only the barest of shadows. Hopefully those two things would enable it to go undetected by the fish until it was too late.
