Quest for adequacy

Lyra had to leave the pleasant coversation with the foreigner in search of less hunted waters, and eventually strolled to the spot she was standing now. Occupied by only one wolf, it was rather convenienent, and she strolled into the waters smoothly, with hardly a splash. Walking so she settled not far from the grey-scaled puppy, she dipped her head in greeting to her, eyeing her as she lunged for a fish. Pup seemed quite good. "Heh, nice job for a puppy." It was... moderately backhanded, as puppies can't really... do much. She certainly didn't as a puppy; she just... annoyed the absolute living fuck out of her father. She still did that, at her age, though. Because it was fun.
Paw raised, claws sliding out from their hidden sheaths, she waited for just a moment before streaking her paw down and attempting to spear a fish. Man, her claws really came in handy so long as she could time her strikes.
