Valdís continued on her way, pushing through the swamp when the sound of movement alerted her to the approach of another woman. She hailed them in an unfamiliar accent and Valdís pondered the woman's question. She didn't consider herself lost but she also wasn't in a great hurry either way. "I appreciate the offer but we're fine. Just passing through at our leisure. Is this your home here?"
