Lucretia crept from her den site, glad that their strange tournament match was to be held closest to the Shamyn residence. She was not certain how she felt about a slave, even one as dear to most of the Kleins as Sirius, being elevated above her in rank. In fact, it rankled her a bit. Deathbelle certainly would need to tend to some hurt feelings among the Kleins once this promotion was through, if he was to be successful.

She folded her ears and observed the spectacle without expression. This would certainly be an interesting development within the pack, regardless of outcome.
