Bourbon followed loyally behind the ivory marked woman as she took him home. He’d been a little disappointed when she removed his leash, but he was still content living out his anscestor’s tales. His white and red tail curled over his back happily and he wagged it as they walked along. His bright blue eyes were alert for any danger, and he had honorably protected his Empress from no less than two squirrels on the way home.
Now he felt a little confused, Deathbelle had given him thorough instructions as to what he was supposed to do. This was after she found herself a long wide strip of leather, and working together with her tiny lemur the two had managed to wrap a huge bow around the dog’s neck. He wore the gift proudly, and with his head held high and his long haired tail wagging he made his way to Lucretia’s space.
The collie cleared his throat softly before pausing and peering at the entrance. This was it, his new master lay beyond the threshold. Softly the dog padded forward, having been told that the Lady was likely asleep. With floppy ears perked he listened for her even breathing. Softly the dog would settle himself beside her, having strict orders not to disturb her sleep. He curled into an unassuming ball, making sure the bow was easy to see, laid his head on his paws and settled in to wait.
