Although she was present, her mind was a million miles away. Theory leaned into Poem's side, using her sister's warmth as a bolster. The frigid autumn winds were inhospitable. Winter would be coming soon, and Abaven would change like the seasons. They were facing a difficult crossroads, and she hoped that the pack would welcome her as heir. Poem had seemed like the obvious choice, even if some believed her parentage to be polluted. Theory had only ever seen her sisters as the purest, best parts of both her father and Shaye.
