In restless dreams,

Without his mom around Pitch had become slightly irritable, and even withdrawn. He had no real way of belonging completely with his brothers. He had a better nose and hearing than them, and they could see. He couldn't rough house like them, he never knew when they were pouncing and even though he was bigger than them he was kind of more delicate. Besides he didn't really like to rough house. He preferred the more softer things in life. He hadn't missed the new smell from his dad, much like it was with momma.

He padded over and plopped himself down with his shoulders and back against his dad's side. He could feel the way his ribs felt, later he'd learn that the smell was death and that his dad had starved himself to it but for now it was just how he was. He felt cold like momma too. He laid his head on his paws as Beat and Tempo tried to coerce Solor into playing. He huffed again for probably the umpteenth time that day. He didn't care to talk or play. He just knew something was not right in the pit of his gut and he needed to be here with his dad.

I walked alone
