Venom poked her nose over the ledge of the ravine, she wasn’t as confident here as she was within the ravine. Lilac eyes surveyed her surroundings as she crept up and over the side. There may have been an adult watching her but she was without her siblings. Her quills raised in her nervous venturing and her forked tongue slipped from between her lips in similar fashion. Her ears perked to catch the strange sounds around her. She felt odd with how quiet it was, her life so far had the sound of the stream as background noise.
There were a few birds singing or calling out alarms in the trees. Not that she had any chance of catching a bird. Gloved paws carried her forward slowly, she heard something about a beach and a huge amount of water. She was warned to keep away from water, but she still had to see it. Venom walked in the direction she thought it was, cautious about all the new things she was seeing and smelling as she went.
