Alright, so he just made a fool of himself… Houdini was… being Houdini… surely things couldn’t get worse… right?

Wrong.

Another zoomed up to him and startled Gav so much by her quick arrival, with the worry she was gonna crash into him, that he flinched. His light green gaze shifted to her -- a kid. She reacted with amazement to his wings… and then came a slew of questions. The young male’s jaw parted… uh… oh…

Houdini eyed the kid with dissatisfaction.

“Way to go, Gav. Cause waltzing into a gathering like this was a fantastic plan!”

Others came closer too, speaking to him and each other as Gavroche struggled to find his words. This… this was something.

Houdini rolled her eyes and made her way down her companion’s form to the ground.

“Have fun! I’m going to go somewhere quiet.”

Gavroche went to give her a helpless look but the rat already took off.

Yeeeeep..! This was fine. Everything was fine.

Gav looked back to the three kids and other wolf before him. He flicked an ear nervously, finally managing to speak.

“I… uh… can’t f-fly… actually.” Gavroche managed. “My grandmother tried to tear them off of me when I was little s-so I think they got damaged or something…” Oh boy… this was… weird.

“I was born with them though… so I don’t know if you guys will ever get wings…” There that answered some stuff, right?

“I’m not a God… b-but it was the great Goddess Celeste that blessed me with these wings!” On the plus side Houdini was no longer here to grumble about the kid discussing the religion of Foi.

“I’m the only one in my family with wings though. Most of them have manes and are really big. Bigger than you, uh, miss Crow.” His words weren’t unkind.

“My name is Gavroche Kedieo. My mama used to call me her baby bird though.” ...introductions… hopefully that was the last question. He didn’t miss any, did he?

“I come from a place called Lyenne… far away in a mountain range.” He added.

“What are your names?” He was still a bit uncomfortable… but he was trying at least.
