Unwashed fur bristled as his lips lifted in a greeting snarl, he squared his shoulders preparing for the next onslaught. He lifted his nose, raised his hackles and lashed his tail like a whip, preparing for the challenger to attack him with everything he had. No words were spoken, none were needed, only glorious bloodshed and the promise of new scars and more blood upon the dust. He charged forward, paws lifted with each bound, prepared to hit the challenger’s hips and ribs, hoping to cause some bruising or other minor injury.
