Feel the Thunder [Urgent meeting]

Tyranis had seen the mountain erupt, had felt a chill run through him as he watched smoke and molten rock fly from the gaping maw of Mt. Vulcan. In his mind he knew exactly what his father would have said, that this was punishment for not completing the reap, that the demons had escaped hell and were surely running rampant in Boreas. His father had died for those beliefs but some small part of him couldn’t help but wonder if there was some truth to it. He turned away from the sight as Acere called for them and gave a call of his own to signal that he was coming.

He paced past his brother and Fracture and took his place beside Acere, wondering just what he planned to do. They were already at capacity, they couldn’t possibly take any refugees from Abaven, not with their stores depleted and not while their healers wouldn’t have herbs until Spring. That was a galling thought to him, their healers would be without stores and unable to gather until Spring, and when Spring came there was no promise that anything would be alive for them to gather. Life in the north was harsh but now that most of the continent was covered with ash and fire it seemed their hardships blanketed all of Boreas.
