Then again he supposed even royalty needed the chance to get away some times. Perhaps she'd left someone else in charge. A darker part of his mind half thought about kidnapping her and seeing what would happen but he quickly shoved the thought from his mind. He didn't want to go creating trouble for Ashen. Besides, his wife would have a conniption fit if he did such a thing. Their relationship was already a bit strained and so he didn't wish to create more of an issue.
