Lament Pyre The weapons where only recently rediscovered, buried in the battlefield. He had found them on a vague memory that had haunted his sleep, and harried him until he let it play out in the real world. He had dug them free of the earth, and found on them the scent of home, and a wolf he felt he should know, but did not. The one who had buried them, the one who had attacked him and his sisters. He bared his teeth, but otherwise showed no emotion, as he bundled up the weapons. He refused to grow attachment to this piece of his past, because very soon he would be parting with them. After showing them to Valkryie, and explaining their unique heritage, she had agreed to trade them for the wolf who had given her temporary, and reluctant loyalty. He stood still and patient, no emotion showing for the world to see, as he waited over the weapons at the slavers chosen spot, and waited for her to arrive with Oxide and begin the trade off. |
