He wasn’t sure how he felt about his debt being paid by Eris’s brother. Surely the Ademre could have used the weapons Valkyrie now boasted possession of. However, he knew that being in Lament’s debt was better than Valkyrie’s. Oxide followed Lament without comment until Valk was far enough away she couldn’t hear. He paused and looked to the Ademre man. Oxide blinked back any emotion he might have shown as Lament gave him two options.
Lament didn’t know him well enough, Oxide couldn’t have chosen any path but Eris. His little shadow, who he had been separated from for so long. Instead of her being away from him while he was serving out his commitment. ”I will gladly take up arms beside you and Eris.” He spoke truthfully and with no hesitation. He was never going to leave her side again.
