Pops was missing.
Godbrand didn't know why, but at his age, he felt it was a good reason. there was some disappointment and he didn't really concentrate on his aunt as she began to speak. his little body raised to stand on his back legs, trying to find Hannibal in the crowd still. but after the adults were done talking, everyone else was rushing about. he heard 'volcano' and 'eruption' before Ma was herding him to Tree Trunk Guy. after a few words to the dire wolf, Ma left.
Beryl and Gimli hadn't shown up, left at the lake because maybe it'd be too much for all three of them at once. worry was in the pit of his stomach but he pushed it away just as quick. staring up at Tree Trunk, he squinted his golden eyes but said nothing. Ma'd be back. so would Pops. he just had to be patient and be a good guy for the others. Godbrand stuck close to the dire wolf, hoping not to get under anyone's paws as he retreated under the massive wolf.
