--Finally a place to, rest?

Willoughby tried to remain calm and collected for her new friend’s sake. She did consider him a friend, if not an ally, by now. “It’s understandable” she replied with a tilt of her head at the ground as if expecting it to suddenly shake once more. A puzzled frown escaped her face but otherwise, she said nothing concerning it. it really was understandable; people could be upset and want to feel their fears were validated. “I was there when the eruption happened, further in Boreas” the woman would admit softly. The feelings of fear there… she hadn’t had time to process them. She had to be strong back then to navigate to safety. She couldn’t curl in a ball and sob. “it was awful, but I managed to escape.”
She had left Philomena with her pack and traveled south to safety. Whether the Olympian woman was now okay was beyond her knowledge. But Willoughby hoped she was. As Serpentine guided her away, she followed him to further down the trail. Her paws crunched underneath the grass and she looked around with wide eyes as the pair moved along. The woman had looked away, back down the path near the falls when she heard a crunch of foliage. Startled pleasantly, she looked back to see the man flustered. Though she had missed his collision completely and saved his embarrassment. “oh? What happened?” she couldn’t resist hearing the whimper that left his jaws.
Trotting to his side, she inspected him silently with a squinted look through her crimson eyes.
